The CompanyOur market leading client require the skills of an experienced Livestock Supply Chain Manager to manage the strategic planning and daily movement of their large, complex livestock operation. The ideal person will come with a depth of knowledge and experience in livestock and have the ability to drive this function for our client, managing a small team to drive effective and efficient movement of livestock. Role is based in Australia and the company will offer relocation support. The role: Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Manage our clients national livestock operation including their farmers, locations, pricing structure, behaviour, and seasonality. Develop close relationship with the Livestock providers. Manage long term planning. Explore short term / spot market opportunities. Create and implement livestock strategy. In alignment with Operations and SO&P team, develop strategies to best fulfil the production capacities and sales requirements. Monitor and manage site-based Supplier PerformanceManage external 3PL providers to ensure operational Excellence. Your background: Previous experience within livestock is essential. Strong demonstrable experience with strategic planning, supplier relationship management, carrier management and forecasting.
