25 dedicated FIG client coverage and Insurance Solutions specialists partner with more than 120 insurance clients across APAC to execute on their strategic priorities across investments, risk management, wealth and technology needs. Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be responsible for formulating and executing an ambitious strategy to expand and further transform our business with insurers in Korea. The role will work closely with the APAC Head of FIG and Korea Head of Institutional Client Business to maximize business opportunities not only for asset management business but broader BlackRock capabilities, including technology solutions.
Initiate, develop, manage and strengthen relationships with Life Insurers, P&C Insurance Companies, Reinsurance and their affiliated asset managersDevelop high quality pipelines and deliver ambitious financial outcomes by collaborating closely with product specialists to leverage BlackRockās full platform capabilities, including (i) active and passive strategies across Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-asset, (ii) Alternatives, (iii) Aladdin, and (iv) bespoke whole portfolio solutions. This involves identifying transformative organic and inorganic business opportunities and forming strategic alliances with key insurance partners.
Partner closely with FMA Insurance Solutions to ensure that we are maximizing deployment of Insurance Solutions capabilities and resources to our largest and strategic opportunitiesPartner closely with key stakeholders including but not limited to Global FIG, Insurance Solutions, Marketing and Global Product Solutions to drive campaigns and business solutions for insurers and project-manage strategic initiatives to further build up Firmās brand awareness amongst the clients and prospectsRepresent BlackRock in the industry by being involved in public speaking and organizing industry events and forumsQualifications15+ years of extensive financial industry experience in institutional client facing role.
Preference for FIG banking / capital markets / actuarial / insurance asset management background, with roles involving, M&A advisory / insurance advisory / portfolio management / structuring / senior relationship managementStrong track record of cultivating relationships with senior clients and possess appreciation of navigating complexitiesGood appreciation of the regulatory and accounting considerations for Korean insurersExperience of working for international organizations and ability to work in a multinational matrix environment preferredEffective team player who is accustomed in working with global, regional and local stakeholdersExcellent communication skillsHighest standard of ethicsLanguage skills:
