We put people at the centre of everything we do — creating connected, person-centred, accessible, effective and safe services across Australia.We are now seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Chair of the Board, providing strategic stewardship, strong governance, and inclusive leadership as we continue to grow and evolve in a complex and rapidly changing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Chair, you will:Lead the Board to deliver strong, effective governanceFacilitate constructive, informed, and strategic Board discussion and decision-makingEnsure accountability to Members and key stakeholdersCollaborate closely and transparently with the CEO and Executive TeamRepresent Each publicly, including during key events and periods requiring visible leadershipOversee Board, Committee and Director evaluation and succession planningChampion a culture of safety, integrity, inclusion and respectCommit approximately 30–40 hours per monthto Board work, preparation, meetings (Board, Committee and other working group meetings), engagement and representationAbout YouYou will bring:Proven Board Chair or senior governance leadership experienceIntegrity, independence, and sound ethical judgementStrong financial and legal literacyDemonstrated ability to foster a culturally, psychologically and physically safe and inclusive cultureStrategic mindset with courage, curiosity, and the ability to challenge respectfullyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommercial acumen and ability to navigate complex organisational environmentsUnderstanding of — or experience in — the health, community or not-for-profit sectorsExperience in governance, quality, andriskSkills in legal, finance, public relations, stakeholder engagement, or business developmentMandatory Requirements IncludeCurrent active membership of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (or equivalent)Capacity to meet Responsible Person and regulatory requirementsAbility to pass required probity checks (Criminal History, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening, insolvency checks, Aged Care Banning Orders, etc.)Australian residency and 18+ years of ageWhy join us?As Chair, you will play a pivotal role in leading our mission and ensuring our governance remains contemporary, transparent, and accountable.
