Boiler Technician

We’re seeking an experienced Boiler & Turbine Technician to support the Boiler Engineer with maintenance, shutdowns, and projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning, coordinating, and executing boiler and turbine shutdowns, inspections, and modifications.Support the Maintenance Engineer in managing turbine general overhauls (GOs) and maintenance projects, including renewals and Capex.Conduct technical investigations, feasibility studies, and root cause analyses to enhance boiler and turbine reliability.Prepare and update technical specifications, mechanical drawings, and procedures, including piping documentation.Coordinate statutory inspections and ensure compliance with legal and documentation requirements (OHS Act, ASME, PER, EN).Supervise contractors and vendors during shutdowns and project execution, ensuring quality and safety standards.Develop and implement maintenance schedules, tracking performance, reporting, and budgets.Provide standby support when required and act in the Boiler Engineer’s role as delegated.Minimum RequirementsNQF6: National Diploma / NH Dip.
