Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team, which develops and maintains Boku’s data infrastructure to ingest, store, transform and deliver data. Boku’s Data Platform enables our internal stakeholders to build the data products by abstracting away much of the data engineering complexity, allowing them to focus on product core business logic. Key ResponsibilitiesDeployment and Maintenance: Build, test, review, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Dagster, Amazon MSK, Redshift and dbtSolution Design:

Design and document medium to large systems, taking into consideration scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability, performance, and securityTask Execution: Independently lead a team to test and deliver a medium or large-size project from inception to post-production implementationBest Practices: Seek and capitalise on opportunities to improve data engineering processes and efficiencySupport colleagues: Mentor / coach other engineers, helping them to be more effectiveKafka expertise: Help build and expand Kafka as a critical part of Boku’s data infrastructureKey Skills And CompetenciesTechnical Skills:

5-7 years technical experience with minimum of 3 years as a Data Engineer, and with a strong background as a software developer (ideally in Python)Proficiency in ETLs, relational databases and data warehousesSignificant design and operational experience with KafkaExperience with orchestrating data pipelines and building data testing pipelinesExperience with AWS data technologies is a plusExposure to data observability or metadata tools (e. g.
