About this role. . .We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage and maintain accurate financial records, support compliance, and assist with day-to-day accounting operations. The role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, payroll support, financial reporting, and implementing efficient bookkeeping processes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of Australian accounting practices. Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all company transactionsRecord all income, expenses, and journal entries in accounting software (Jonus Premier)Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to cost centresPrepare payment runs and schedule supplier payments in line with RCG termsMaintain supplier records and resolve invoice discrepanciesSet up all new vendors (suppliers & subcontractors)Issue customer invoices and statementsRegularly follow up on upcoming payments and secure payment dates from clientsMonitor outstanding debts and follow up on upcoming & overdue paymentsCheck employee timesheets for payroll are complete and accurate (weekly)Prepare weekly payroll run and hand over to reporting manager for review and paymentLiaise with reporting manager to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processingPrepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow summariesSupport external accountants or auditors with year-end reconciliations and documentationTrack business expenses, reimbursements, and company credit card usageImplement and maintain efficient bookkeeping systems and workflowsSupport management with financial insights for decision-makingEnsure all financial practices comply with company policies and regulatory standards About you . . .Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or relevant experienceMinimum of 2-3 years bookkeeping experience with Australian companyIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Excellent verbal and written communicationOrganized and able to meet deadlines What's in it for you?A competitive salaryHealth Insurance, and Life Insurance coverage21 annual paid leavesAnnual increase (Annual Performance Review)Tenure Recognition ProgramAccess to certifications and courses from Ab2 Institute of Accounting20+ options of free coffee and chocolate drinksBilliards, table tennis, or foosball in our breakout roomWork-life balance and logging off on time for you to enjoy more personal time.A genuinely diverse, caring, supportive and high achieving team environment.Ongoing training, development and career progression opportunitiesFree & conveniently located onsite parking.
