We are looking for a passionate Manager, Accounts & Budget for Finance and Accounts, who will be responsible for reviewing the accounting functions of HCMP projects and maintaining books of accounts. The role involves ensuring compliance with established accounting principles, practices, and procedures to produce accurate and timely financial statements, donor reports, NGOAB audits, and statutory audits. The incumbent will also be engaged in preparing project budgets, as well as validating them during project proposal submissions and the annual budgeting process. Key Responsibilities: Manage team members in preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports (Budget vs.
Actual Expenditure statement) for HCMP projects for timely submission to the BRAC management. Submit fund requisitions to donors and manage receivables of donor-funded projects. Provide periodic (monthly and yearly) Financial Reports. Analyzing financial results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management. Provide accurate and timely financial statements, donor reports, NGOAB audits, and statutory audits. Preparing donor financial reports and budget with necessary statements as per contract/ agreement/MOU. Ensure fixed asset management of projects. Analyzing financial results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
Manage the fund transfer from designated bank accounts of assigned projects to BRAC’s operational bank accounts on time. Arrange meetings with programme regularly to solve various finance and accounting-related issues for effective implementation. Ensure the preparation of Chart of Accounts and submission on time. Review compliances and ensure closure of the projects in due course. Prepare the annual budgeting process including stakeholder communication, budget review & analysis, and submitting senior management. Maintaining proper coordination with the internal and external auditors and satisfying audit queries. Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
Involve developing reports in ERP financial system. Respond to inquiries from the Chief Financial Officer, Head of Accounts, Programme Directors, and other relevant stakeholders regarding financial results. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so. Educational Requirements: Post-graduation in Accounting. Professional certification/degree in CA/CC will get preference. Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years of working experience in the development or corporate sector. Experience in Accounts / Finance / Budget / Audit will get the preference. Other Benefits:
