Branch Risk Manager (Non-Financial Risk Management) This is where you will workEffective risk management requires a holistic understanding of various risk types-insurance, operational, financial, and more-and how they interact. Our client's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework supports informed strategic thinking, strengthens decision making, and enhances the ability to respond swiftly in a dynamic environment.We are looking for a Risk Manager to join the Risk function, based in either the Amsterdam or Stockholm office (with flexibility for remote work). You will support a broad range of risk activities for our client's Benelux and Nordics branches while also contributing to the wider risk function. Your primary focus will be the identification, management, and monitoring of operational risks across these branches.You will report to the Deputy CRO of our client, with a secondary reporting line to the local branch country manager.This are your responsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Benelux and Nordics branches to identify, manage, and monitor operational risks. This includes coordinating operational incident submissions, producing the annual Operational Risk Assessment, presenting at local governance forums, and tracking follow-up actions.Serve as a member of the Benelux and Nordics branch leadership team, representing the Risk function. This includes participating in leadership meetings, local governance forums, and Northern Europe Leadership Team seminars.Deliver risk training to leadership and other teams as required.Produce quarterly risk dashboards for the Benelux and Nordics branches and present them at local governance forums and the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee of our client.Contribute to second-line review of the business plan by identifying key strategic risks relevant to the Benelux and Nordics branches.Support the implementation of policies, procedures, and risk culture initiatives across the branches.Assist with the rollout and testing of the internal control framework locally.Travel quarterly to the Nordics branch (Stockholm).Collaborate closely with our client's Risk team based in Dublin on group-wide risk activities, including project risk assessments, and work with other European branch risk managers on emerging risks.Engage with our client's Centres of Excellence where needed, for example in information risk management.Support any local or central regulatory requests.Engage with internal audit as required.Identify and help address any gaps in compliance with evolving regulatory requirements as part of the ERM team.This is youProven experience in a Risk, Compliance, or Internal Audit function within an insurance company.
