Job Title: Brand ManagerDepartment: MarketingLocation: South AfricaReports To: Sales & Marketing Head – South AfricaEducation & Experience:Full-time MBA with a Marketing background.3–4 years of brand management experience in categories such as Ethnic Hair Care, Oral Care, or Skin Care Products.Primary Interactions:Internal: Finance, Packaging, Sales, Corporate Marketing, Operations, and QC Departments.External: Advertising, Media, and Market Research Agencies.Key Responsibilities:1. Target AchievementPlan and ensure marketing support to achieve agreed top-line and bottom-line targets.Ensure optimal utilization and control of the Adpro budget.Manage geographical responsibility across the Southern Africa region.2. Alignment and Development of Marketing Mix ElementsDevelop and implement marketing mix strategies for each product, aligned with overall business and category objectives.Manage and execute:Communication strategy (including advertising)Artwork and packagingPromotional plans (consumer promotions, trade promotions, merchandising, and visibility initiatives)Media and digital marketing/social media planningPricing and product development initiatives3. Strategy DevelopmentDevelop both long-term and short-term brand strategies to drive market growth and profitability.4. Agency ManagementEnsure effective utilization of external partners such as market research, advertising, and media agencies to optimize marketing outcomes.5. Market ResearchDevelop market research briefs, analyze consumer insights, and translate findings into actionable marketing strategies.
