The Home Experience Designer is responsible for taking input from the sales staff, completingan original design and proposal, and turning it into a functional system to install. The Designer providesall documentation used for building the system. While the Lighting & Shade Control Designer shouldunderstand and support all products lines sold by the company, their main role is to serve as the subjectmatter expert for lighting & shade control. Duties & Responsibilities:

Research product and make recommendations to the sales staff based on functionalityProduce documents to assist techs with installation including but not limited to plans, drawings,and elevationsPartner with Design and Sales team to ensure vision is achieved and all necessary aspects offunctionality are includedEnsure requirements from other trades are specified on drawings, and communicated to PMCreate new and innovative ways to obtain desired results while adhering to budget and productconstraintsAttend weekly design meetings with the other engineers to obtain feedback on designimprovementsReview sales order, product lists and elevations with sales staff, PMs, and programmers asneededUpdate project documentation, proposals, and change orders in job management softwareRecommend products to bench test and demo before specifying into actual proposalsContact vendor and industry experts regarding any new equipment or engineering issuesProvide remote support for other techs in the fieldOccasionally travel to sites to witness systems in useProvide training or communication to disseminate pertinent information to other techs in the fieldFiscal responsibility for all assets assigned and property within Designer’s careCustomer service, including ability to work with high profile and high demand customersGuardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home securityAdherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic lawsQualifications:

The Home Experience Designer must possess an understanding of all AV systems while having adistinct proficiency with lighting and shade control. They must also be able to read and constructdocumentation such as house plans, elevations, and lighting diagrams, etc. Must pursue continuingeducation on all systems with focused curriculum CE on lighting and shading control. Required Proficiency: Lutron Lighting Control, Microsoft Office 365Required Certifications: Lutron RA2/3, HomeWorks QS, Lutron ShadesPreferred Proficiency: Ketra Lighting, Crestron Lighting & Shades, C4 Lighting, AutoCAD, iPoint Design SoftwareAdditional Requirements:

Technical aptitude and attention to detail are paramountPosition is remote work eligibleFlexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hoursMay require standing or sitting for extended periodsValid in-state driver's license, clean driving record, and criminal background
