Expression of Interest / Tender Brief– Brave Talks Coordinator (Contract, Flexible Hours) | SydneyAre you passionate about mental health, storytelling, and community connection?JewishCare, in partnership with JCA The Choice Foundation, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) or tenders from qualified professionals to deliver a key piece of work coordinating our impactful Brave Talks program.About Brave TalksBrave Talks is a powerful storytelling initiative that gives community members a safe and supported platform to share lived experiences with trauma and/or mental health challenges. Each event has a defined budget and a set number of hours allocated for delivery — we’re looking for a professional who can flex their time and engagement around the project schedule and milestones.About the OpportunityWe’re seeking a compassionate, highly organised professional (individual or small team) to coordinate and deliver the Brave Talks events in collaboration with JewishCare, The Choice Foundation, and key stakeholders.This includes:Recruiting and supporting speakers with sensitivity and careCoordinating rehearsals and safe storytelling processesManaging all event logistics — from planning to final presentationEnsuring clinical safety and appropriateness of contentCreating a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment for speakers and audiencesThis flexible contract role suits someone who values meaningful project work and can scale their hours to align with event needs throughout the year.See a glimpse of Brave Talks in action:Brave Talks Video on InstagramWho We’re Looking ForThis is a contract-based role with flexible hours aligned to event delivery cycles. Each event has an allocated budget and defined hours for completion.We welcome EOIs or tenders from professionals or consultants with:Registration as a Psychologist (AHPRA) or Mental Health Social Worker (AASW)Experience supporting individuals living with mental health challengesStrong organisational and communication skillsA trauma-informed, compassionate approach to storytelling and mental health workUnderstanding of Jewish values, culture, and community lifeExperience designing, coordinating, or delivering mental health or lived-experience programsAbility to work independently and collaboratively, and manage multiple prioritiesWhy Collaborate with UsWorking with JewishCare and JCA The Choice Foundation, you’ll be part of a community-driven program that:Reduces stigma around mental healthStrengthens connection through storytellingEmpowers lived experience voices in a safe, supported wayYou’ll also join a network committed to compassion, inclusion, and meaningful impact.Employment & Compliance RequirementsRegistered Psychologist or Mental Health Social WorkerNational Criminal History CheckWorking With Children CheckDriver’s LicenceHow to Get InvolvedWe welcome both EOIs and formal tenders for this flexible, contract-based role.
