We're hiring an Operating Partner - Finance (CFO / SVP Finance profile) to architect and scale finance, accounting, and revenue operations across 18+ active companies spanning education & training, health services, franchising, and residential services end markets. You've built durable finance organizations in middle‑market, PE‑backed environments and balance repeatable playbooks with tailored, company‑specific solutions.Put that experience to work owning the portfolio‑wide finance operating system - standards, cadence, and tooling - with clear decision rights to set policy, approve systems roadmaps, and green‑light critical hires.What You'll Be DoingPortfolio Finance Leadership Codify playbooks for monthly close acceleration, reporting discipline, and budget‑to‑actual FP&A Lead portfolio‑wide rollout of Henon.ai, a leading provider of AI-native performance management software across Brentwood portfolio companies - integrating proprietary generative‑AI capabilities, standardizing reporting, improving prediction accuracy, and driving cross‑company insights and adoption Set portfolio‑wide policies for close timing, forecasting cadence, and KPI taxonomy; establish escalation and exception paths Standardize board/investor reporting packages; elevate forecasting rigor Drive working capital optimization and cash‑flow forecasting Evaluate and deploy ERP, FP&A, billing, and data/BI systems Mature revenue operations (quoting → billing → collections → renewals; pricing), with depth in SaaS Embed with management teams at key inflection points (post‑investment, ERP upgrades, PMI, carve‑outs) Define and roll out KPIs/metrics to increase visibility and accountability Lead financial integration and synergy realization for add‑on M&ACross‑Functional Influence Liaise between investment teams and portfolio finance to align on priorities and value drivers Partner with GO peers (GTM, People, Tech) on cross‑functional transformation Support diligence and post‑close value creation plans for new platforms and add‑onsTalent Development Recruit, assess, and onboard CFOs/VPs of Finance across the portfolio Mentor first‑time CFOs; raise the bar for finance talent at all levels Build a vetted bench of interim/fractional/advisory finance leaders Co‑create a Finance Center of Excellence: tools, templates, vendors, benchmarksRequirementsWhat We're Looking For 15+ years progressive finance leadership; at least one seat as CFO or divisional SVP Finance PE‑backed, growth‑stage experience; multi‑site or multi‑entity preferred Cross‑model fluency: essential services, consumer multi‑unit, and SaaS/recurring revenue Entrepreneurial builder who pilots, iterates, and scales modern finance tech—ERP/FP&A/billing, automation, and AI/analytics—to deliver real‑time insight and operational leverage, with strong controls and responsible‑AI practices Experience with platforms such as NetSuite / MS Dynamics 365 / SAP S/4, Adaptive/Anaplan/Planful, Zuora/Chargebee, Tableau/Power BI/Snowflake (or similar) Exposure to M&A integration and corporate development (preferred) Prior PE operating partner experience or consulting to PE‑backed CFOs (preferred)Attributes Operator's bias to action; sleeves‑up problem solver Structured thinker; turns complexity into scalable systems High EQ; influences without direct authority Systems‑oriented; leverages technology to enable performance Cross‑industry curiosity; adaptable across software and servicesBenefitsWhy Brentwood's GO Team Shape the trajectory of 18+ companies across multiple growth-oriented sectors Partner closely with world‑class investors and management teams Build a durable finance excellence legacy across the portfolio Join a collaborative, high‑integrity culture focused on operational excellenceBenefits - What's In It For YouBrentwood Associates offers a competitive Total Rewards package because we know talent when we see it.
