Key duties and responsibilities; · Preparation of Supplier payments requisitions. · Posting Supplier Invoices· Reconciliation of Supplier Invoices on a monthly basis· Updating Inventory on Efris System. · Updating Inventory on Sage 300· Coordinating Monthly stock takes. · Liaise with procurement department to ensure availability of stock at all times. · Ensure that all transactions are timely recorded, classified and reported in compliance with international financial reporting standard. (IFRS)· Ensure that WHT is filed timely as per Uganda tax laws. · Ensure that WHT is deductible from suppliers as per Uganda tax laws and tax certificates shared. · Participate in preparation of audit files for audit purposes.
· Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor. RequirementsQualifications, Skills and Experience · A bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance from a recognized university. · Professional accounting qualification either ACCA or CPA. · Knowledge of Sage 300 is an added advantage. · Experience in accounting field (Minimum 3 years). · Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills. · Knowledge of Uganda taxation laws. · Attention to detail and high level of integrity. · Organized and self driven. · Good Communication and interpersonal skills. Suitable candidates should be between 25-34 years.
