The Document Cell Senior Lead reports to the Forward Maintenance Manager and is the point of contact for technical documentation/ information. To provide leadership and oversight for the development and delivery of all Continuing Airworthiness Records activities, whilst maximising operational efficiency and minimizing costs. Through the effective utilisation of subject matter knowledge and experience, able to lead and manage a team / number of teams of skilled and knowledgeable personnel, to deliver fit for purpose of Continuing Airworthiness Records.
Core ActivityManaging the development, production and publication of the performance indicators required to demonstrate the configuration, quality and integrity of the aircraft and component Continuing Airworthiness RecordsManaging the development and update of all Continuing Airworthiness Records, including the input of aircraft technical log data (hours, cycles, etc.
) into the relevant record and maintenance system(Managing the delivery of the necessary reconciliation activities required to ensure the configuration, quality and integrity of the Continuing Airworthiness Records is maintained At a tactical level, managing the provision of information from the Continuing Airworthiness Records and the interface with Maintenance Tasking & Verification, Part 145 organisation, Fleet Planning, Reliability Programmes and other key stakeholders, in order to deliver the required standards of Continuing Airworthiness and contract deliveryManaging and report on the effectiveness of Continuing Airworthiness Records completion and management processes, including feedback to Part 145 organisation and Suppliers, across all responsible maintenance locations.
Ensure escalated issues, including any identified by the Airworthiness Review process, are assessed and effective solutions implemented into the Continuing Airworthiness Records activitiesManaging the delivery of advice and assistance on modification/configuration status-related questions. Maintaining a personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency, on completion of On the Job training (OJT) activities, sign other personnel’s logbooks as appropriate within your trade and skills boundaries.

Responsible for the assessment of escalated issues for any impact on Continuing Airworthiness and generating effective resolution, or sponsoring escalation to management, as appropriateCompletion of activities – Ensure all Continuing Airworthiness Records activities are appropriately documented and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT/paper based). Ensure all Continuing Airworthiness Records activities are performed by suitably qualified, experienced and authorised personnel. Ensure the integration of Continuing Airworthiness Records activity within the business, including the engagement of key stakeholders at all stages of the process.
Provide support and guidance to the teamProcedure/standards – Manage the Continuing Airworthiness Records team compliance with the CAME, its associated procedures and standards, and any other Company procedures and standards, as applicable. Identify, propose and implement change as required, whilst ensuring complianceSafety Management System – Promote the application of Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management and Safety Assurance within the Continuing Airworthiness Records team(s), together with the proactive analysis, mitigation and management of HazardsManagement System Assurance – Ensure Continuing Airworthiness Records team activities are compliant with the Regulatory Governance and Assurance framework.
Ensure Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits are supported by Continuing Airworthiness Records personnel and integrated within/across teams. Manage the response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide information into the relevant reviews. Generate and implement effective improvements within/across teams to overcome any non-compliance and monitor effectivenessStatutory/Regulatory & Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate a detailed understanding and application of the continuing airworthiness regulatory framework, e. g. EASA and ensure any changes are implemented; Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e. g.
ITAR/EaPWContractual Requirements – Ensure compliance with all applicable contractual requirements; Support contract reviews and ensure communication of any changes into airworthiness records activities RequirementsQualifications/Functional Knowledge: Requires general product knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area Minimum HNC in a relevant Data Management or Technical discipline, or Part 66 Category C qualified, or suitable equivalentRecent experience within a Maintenance & Support environment, including significant direct experience of managing and maintaining Continuing Airworthiness Records.
