Role purpose: Lead and manage all cost management activities for the Infrarose Airport Project, ensuring accurate budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting across all work packages. Provide strategic cost advice to senior management, safeguard budget integrity, and ensure compliance with contractual, corporate, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain the project’s Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and contractual deliverables. Develop, monitor, and control the overall project budget, integrating cost data from design, procurement, and construction disciplines.
Oversee the preparation of cost forecasts and variance analyses, identifying potential overruns and recommending mitigation measures. Ensure integration of cost and schedule data for accurate Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting. Manage the cost impact assessment of all change orders, variations, and claims in line with FIDIC requirements. Produce high-quality weekly and monthly cost reports for senior management and the client. Provide leadership and mentorship to the cost control team, ensuring consistent application of project controls standards and best practices. Liaise with Finance, Planning, and Procurement departments to maintain data accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field from an accredited university. Twelve to fifteen years of progressive cost management experience on mega infrastructure projects, with at least six years in a managerial or lead role. Proven track record in managing cost functions for large-scale international aviation or transport hub projects. Expert in cost control systems such as EcoSys or Prism, Primavera P6, and advanced Excel. Strong understanding of FIDIC contract cost requirements, forecasting methodologies, and major procurement strategies. International project delivery experience, preferably in Africa or similarly complex environments, is highly desirable. Qualifications & Experience:
