Today we are focused on surpassing these achievements by continually challenging and overcoming convention and constraints, to transform our world for the better.Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityAs a Buildings Condition and Compliance Assessor (Asset Management), you’ll assess the condition and compliance of buildings and related infrastructure, providing technical insights that inform asset planning and investment decisions.We’re expanding our buildings Asset Management offering, with exciting opportunities based in our Auckland and Wellington teams. This diverse role can be shaped around your strengths and offers a clear pathway for growth in asset management. We’re happy to explore flexible working arrangements whether part-time or full-time.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site inspections of buildings spanning across structures and services (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) to assess condition and identify defectsAssess compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NZ Building Code, Health & Safety at Work Act)Capture and analyse asset data using digital tools (e.g., tablets, asset management software)Produce clear, concise reports with photos, defect descriptions, recommended actions, and cost estimatesCommunicate findings and clarify requirements with clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and other stakeholdersSupport the development of maintenance strategies and long-term renewal plansContribute to risk assessments and prioritisation of renewal projectsStay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologiesWork independently across multiple sitesApply sound engineering judgement to problem-solvingCollaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality outcomesDemonstrate resilience and adaptability when working across diverse sites and conditionsKo wai koe | About youYou’ll Bring a Relevant Trade Qualification, Diploma, Or Tertiary Degree In Building Science, Building Services, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Or a Related Discipline. Professional Registration (e.g., NZCE, Registered Plumber Or Electrician) Is a Bonus.
