In 1993, our regional Singapore headquarters opened, which now serves as our regional hub for origination and merchandizing activities spanning across 9 platforms - Grains and Oilseeds, Juice, Freight, Global Markets, Food and Feed Solutions, Rice, Coffee, Cotton and Sugar across 9 countries Singapore, Australia, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan Malaysia, Thailand and Bangladesh.Job DescriptionThe successful candidate would be in charge of:Operation & execution for all International and Domestic trades in North Vietnam area to ensure that services are provided in an effective and efficient manner and aligned with G&O platform strategy & expectations. Work location: remote working (North of Vietnam); the first two months training provided in Ho Chi Minh City.Scope of work:Manages the end-to-end processes for international transactions, including logistics, documentation, and communication with global stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and servicesPrepare all trade related documentation and working with such as purchase & sale contract, delivery notice, shipping document, delivery order and goods receipt notes, etcHandle LC opening, amendments and payments of buyers – grains & oilseedsManage execution of LDC imports (dealing with clearing agents, vessel agents, surveyors) in North VietnamManage warehousing and logistics of LDC in North VietnamLiaison with regional treasury and accounting for customer payments, invoicing, issuance of delivery orders etc.To maintain a systematic process report where status of progress (ie executed/ in process/ pending matters) is effected in timely fashion until completion of contract.+To handling in-house system update, record, report and inputLiaising with other departments to maintain internal system up-to-dateTo handling logistics contracts, preparing docs for customs declaration, DO, payment request and local delivery documentChecking the actual monthly costing and recordTo follow-up with buyers on return of signed contracts/amendments (if any) within reasonable timeframe.To follow-up/push buyers for collection schedule.To liaise with ports custom/shipping agents/logistics companies ensuring vessels discharging operations is smooth and efficient.To liaise with transportation, fumigation, surveyor vendor to ensure a smoothly local deliveryLiaising with warehouse operators for storage of cargo and in co-ordination with SGP-exec for all storage/warehouse agreement is in place.Monitoring inventory movements and ensuring payment received prior release of cargo to customers.To closely follow-on with buyers/customers on any outstanding payments.Provide high value support to the business, anticipate risk, risk mitigation and provide solution to the business.ExperienceAcademicsGraduated from University of Economics major in Foreign Trade or equivalent.Experiences:Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in commodity trading/marketing agri-products (wheat, corn, soymeal…) and global regulatorExperience in import & bulk cargo logistics operations.Understanding of customer practices in logistics, in the Northern Vietnam, bulk agricultural sector is a strong plusOther SkillsHaving experience in SAP, ERP, etc. and general accounting knowledge are advantagesHave analytic skills. Being pro-active and result oriented.Effective communicator. Have great communication skills and negotiation skills in interaction with internal and external partners.Effective command of spoken and written English to work with foreigners & English speakersAble to work independently and under pressure.
