Join us as we contribute to this significant transition in the energy sector.About The TeamAEMO’s System Design (SD) Division is responsible for planning the power system in the context of unprecedented transformation, supporting AEMO’s mission of designing a sustainable energy system that provides affordable, safe, and reliable energy for all Australians.About The RoleReporting directly to the Group Manager, Business Solutions, this role will be critical to stand up a new Group in System Design, tasked to develop a long term business strategy for the division, deliver the division’s Technology Roadmap program in collaboration with Digital and all System Design functions, and identify and implement business solutions and continuous process improvement across the Division. You will play a key part in advancing ‘on-the-business’ initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and supporting the Division in meeting its objectives.What You Will Be DoingContribute to the development, documentation and implementation of the Divisional Business Plan, working closely with the Strategy and Enterprise Risk teams.Support the business in delivery of the System Design technology roadmap, to uplift systems required to meet the increasingly complex forecasting, planning, onboarding and connections work in the division.Support modelling and data governance, collaborating with key stakeholders across Risk and Compliance.Assist in project management and operational improvement initiatives, including developing templates, resource plans and reporting frameworks.Conduct process mapping, manage registers for process improvements and issues, and develop frameworks for process and operational governance.Prepare monthly analytics and reporting for projects and the Division.Run and analyse reports, provide regular project data for managers, and support dashboard development.Undertake other responsibilities as required to support Division objectives.What You Will Bring To The RoleRelevant tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Finance or Commerce.Minimum two years’ experience as a Business Analyst or in a comparable analytical role.Energy industry experience strongly preferred.Strategic mindset, self-starter with a can-do attitude and the ability to synthesise executive level insights from complex information.Advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and map dependencies.Strong project management skills, with demonstrable experience in project planning, monitoring and reporting.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word; experience with Power BI and Visio highly regarded.Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.Excellent attention to detail, with proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks independently.In return some of our benefits to you Flexible working: work from home, part time, job share, hybrid options, and additional leave options Professional development via projects, industry networks, job rotation, study assistance and more.
