Business Analyst

6 month initial contract Mix of WFH and Central Sydney officeWe’re seeking a Business Analyst with a strong interest in emerging technology and governance to support the development of new frameworks, processes, and capabilities in the AI domain.You’ll work across governance, risk, compliance, and service operations functions — helping define how AI tools and agentic systems are managed, supported, and scaled responsibly. This role blends analytical rigour with curiosity about innovation and future technology practices.Key Responsibilities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document business and technical requirements for AI governance, compliance, and service operations.Analyse current practices to identify gaps across risk management, transparency, service management, licensing, and support models.Map end-to-end processes and workflows that enable effective governance and oversight of AI tools and services.Contribute to the design and delivery planning for 2026 AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) capabilities.Gather and validate requirements for agentic AI use cases and proof-of-concept activities.Prepare clear, concise documentation and artefacts to inform decision-making and governance forums.Skills and Experience.Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in digital, AI, or compliance-related projects.Understanding of AI governance frameworks or emerging technology policy is highly desirable.Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into business impact.Experience working in complex environments with multiple stakeholder groups.Exposure to agent-based systems, AI tools, or research workflows is an advantage.Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with a structured and outcomes-focused approach.Interested candidates who meet the required skillset of the role are encouraged to apply via the link with an updated resume.
