Role DescriptionThe Business Analyst (Financial Sector) serves as a bridge between business operations, technology, and stakeholders, ensuring the effective delivery of financial products, services, and projects. This role involves analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating requirements into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking, financial knowledge, and strong communication skills to support decision-making and drive operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders across finance, risk, compliance, and operations to gather and document business requirements.Analyze financial processes, workflows, and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.Develop functional specifications, process documentation, and business cases to support system enhancements or new initiatives.Support the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.Conduct data analysis and generate reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.Participate in project planning, requirements workshops, and user acceptance testing (UAT).Assist in the development of dashboards, KPIs, and metrics to track business performance and operational efficiency.Liaise with IT, finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of projects and solutions.Evaluate and recommend improvements to business processes, policies, and controls.Support regulatory compliance initiatives by ensuring adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.Provide training and documentation for end-users on new systems, tools, or process changes.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, providing timely updates to management.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or financial services.Strong understanding of financial products, banking operations, and regulatory frameworks.Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) and financial systems.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Strong communication and documentation abilities to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) is an advantage.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and process improvement.Team-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable in dynamic environments.
