RequirementsAs a Business Analyst for Business Capital Market Solutions, you help deliver our strategic, multi-year projects for the Capital Markets business line. You’re at the heart of a team of experts dedicated to shaping and building business and IT solutions. The team implements meaningful projects that enhance our solution application portfolio and processes end to end. You contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of the foundations aimed at establishing new financial products, evolving the needs of various asset classes, trading desks and operational teams, and meeting regulatory and technological requirements. You work closely on projects with the sponsor, project manager, architects, product owner, IT teams and internal partners. More specifically, you will be required to:Analyze the sector’s business processes and needs to ensure alignment with organizational objectivesSupport the analysis of the feasibility, design and execution phases of projects by building needs registers, drafting RFIs and RFPs, defining roles and responsibilities, and identifying risks and key playersDocument and produce clear, concise business deliverables to contributors (front office, middle office, back office, risk, finance, compliance, etc.)Create a business requirements registry, a product breakdown structure (PBS) and use casesDevelop views of target operational models, and identify affected processesIdentify and quantify the expected benefits of each business objectiveSet up a traceability matrixParticipate in prioritizing requirements, and implement an agile delivery strategyWork with internal partners to assess requests, their end-to-end impact, dependencies and alignments as well as risks arising from the new solution or activityConduct a comparative analysis of the various solutions following calls for tenders, and make a recommendation based on specific criteria and an evaluation gridEnsure alignment and integration with the technological ecosystem and architectureDevelop a strategy for verifying and maintaining unit testsIdentify and document opportunities to improve work methods and processesWhat we offer*Competitive salary and annual bonus4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first yearDefined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirementGroup insurance including telemedicineReimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment Benefits apply based on eligibility criteria.What You Bring To The TableBachelor's degree in a related fieldA minimum of eight years of relevant experience in business analysis within the context of delivering business solutions for the capital markets sectorPlease note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be consideredKnowledge of French is requiredAdvanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clientsKnowledge of specialized capital market solutionsProficiency in IT relations and agile methodologyProven proactive approach: Consistently preparing a game plan and a structured agenda for every meetingExperience leading focused business discussions that drive concrete decisionsExpertise managing business solutions end to end, including sales and trading platforms, position and inventory management, valuation, collateral management, settlement, accounting and riskExpertise in communicating effectively with executive parties, ensuring transparency around issues, decisions and progressAction oriented, Ambiguity, Customer Focus, Differences, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning, StakeholdersCurious about Desjardins ?
