Business Analyst (Junior–Mid Level)Location: London (Hybrid)Contract Type: PermanentExperience Level: 1–3 YearsIndustry Focus: Data / Digital / TechnologyAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a motivated Business Analyst with 1–3 years’ experience to support data-led projects across the business. This role is ideal for someone early in their BA career who’s comfortable working with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and supporting delivery teams in a hybrid working environment.You’ll work closely with data, IT, and business functions to help translate business needs into actionable solutions, improve reporting and insight, and support process optimisation.Key ResponsibilitiesGather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholdersWork with data teams to support reporting, analytics, or data platform initiativesAssist with process mapping, gap analysis, and workflow optimisationSupport the development and delivery of user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specsHelp coordinate with project managers, developers, and data specialistsParticipate in workshops, discovery sessions, and solution reviewsContribute to testing, validation, and user training where neededTrack progress and support documentation across projectsSkills & ExperienceEssential:1–3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst (or similar role)Exposure to data-focused environments (e.g., analytics, data platforms, reporting, BI tools)Strong documentation and requirements-gathering skillsComfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersGood understanding of project lifecycles (Agile or Waterfall)Strong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage time and prioritise tasks effectivelyDesirable:Experience with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, JIRA, or ConfluenceBasic understanding of data governance, data quality, or data migration projectsFamiliarity with user stories and Agile deliveryRelevant qualifications (e.g. BCS, IIBA, Agile BA, or similar)Personal AttributesCurious, analytical, and eager to learnStrong attention to detailConfident working collaboratively across teamsProactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentWorking ModelHybrid: Typically 3 days per week in the London officeCollaborative, supportive team environment with career development opportunitiesWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageExposure to exciting data initiativesClear progression pathways into mid-level BA or data-focused rolesTraining and mentoring opportunities
