Business Analyst, Information Technology

Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan are currently seeking an Information Technology Business Analyst to provide business application support across the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on financial systems and operations.Based in our Tokyo office, this is an in-house regional role that will work across both business and IT to deliver process improvement solutions, support end-to-end project implementation and ensure a stable environment.Key Responsibilities Will IncludeProvide first-level support of global and local business applications across the Asia Pacific regionAct as a finance/accounting subject matter expert; liaise with stakeholders to identify business, financial and operational needs; conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements; deliver solutions that help streamline processes and operations and support business growth opportunitiesTranslate business requirements and user needs into functional specifications; collaborate with developers to ensure requirements are incorporated into system designDevelop functional documentation, training materials and conduct end-user trainingSupport all stages of project implementation, testing, setup, upgrades, rollout, user training, and post-launch support Participate in or lead local and global projectsQualificationsCandidate Requirements:Degree holder of Business, Finance, Information Technology or relevant disciplineAt least 3 years or more experience in business analysis and IT and supporting financial systems in a complex enterprise environmentPreferredA qualified accountant, with membership of a recognized professional accounting bodySound knowledge of financial processesApplicants with experience in financial operations and a demonstrated interest and aptitude in business systems will be consideredExperience with SAP (FI/CO) is preferableExperience in the Entertainment / Motion Pictures industry would be a definite advantageKnowledge / Skills RequiredKnowledge or experience in communicating and working with multicultural teamSelf-motivated and independent in providing analysis of business problems and improvements and determine appropriate applications of technology to be usedDemonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and communication skillsExcellent command of written and spoken JapaneseSkilled in written and spoken business EnglishAbility to express thoughts clearly and logically.Flexibility and ability to work across several technologies, a fast learner with an inquisitive mindAbility to work under minimal supervision, seek help when necessary and think outside the boxProactive, enthusiastic and enjoys interacting with peopleExhibits a strong customer-service mindset with a readiness to assist users in resolving support issuesKnowledge of AI fundamentals for the workplacePlease note that this role is based in Japan.
