Business Analyst – R&D (Consumer Products Industry)

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Systems and Business Analyst with strong functional and technical understanding of R&D systems to support our global transformation programme. This role bridges business process knowledge and systems expertise — ensuring that data, processes, and solutions are aligned as we deploy a new SAP S/4HANA & Centric PLM landscape integrated with other complementary R&D and analytics tools.As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in defining, mapping, and validating detailed data requirements, system integrations, structures and process designs — ensuring systems are configured to meet business requirements.This is an opportunity to drive transformation in a fast-paced and evolving sector, leveraging cutting-edge technology to make a tangible business impact.Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional and Process UnderstandingUnderstand R&D processes, including product life cycle management, R&D execution (New Product Introduction), Quality, Pilot planning & Execution, recipe mgmt., packaging & artwork and regulatory compliance.Understand and document core R&D functionality and the integrations across ERP and other systems (e.g., CENTRIC, analytics, master data).Evaluate and integrate data sets and processes to enhance enable effective R&D processes.System and Data AnalysisEnsure the configuration of SAP S/4HANA, CENTRIC, and other new R&D solutions enables effective processes. Map data requirements, attributes, and flows across SAP S/4HANA, CENTRIC, custom tools and reporting systems.Identify data and other changes required in retained applications to align with the new end2end process and data models.Define data transformation logic and validation rules between manuafacturing systems, ERP, and external data sources.Work with architects and data teams to implement a simplified (“light”) MDG model, complemented by other data management solutions.Integration and Design SupportSupport the definition and documentation of end-to-end data and process integrations across Centric, SAP, R&D solutions and other connected platforms.Work closely with solution architects to ensure data flow consistency and alignment with business rules.Document interface requirements and assist in testing integration scenarios between R&D and execution systems.Support in the definition of the R&D Cutover procedures and drive execution thereofDocumentation, Testing & TrainingSupport the production of clear and complete documentation — process flows, functional specs, data mapping sheets, test scripts, and user guides.Support the execution of UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to validate process and system functionality.Deliver training sessions and knowledge transfer for business users and other IT colleagues, ensuring understanding of system behaviour and data management responsibilities.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with R&D, supply chain, IT, and data governance teams to ensure alignment on functional requirements.Serve as a bridge between business, Centric and technical teams — translating R&D needs into system specifications.Support change management activities related to new system processes and data ownership models.Key Skills and ExperienceIndustry Experience: Demonstrated expertise working within the consumer products industry, with a solid understanding of its unique business processes and challenges.Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end technology stack concepts, including enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, SCM etc.), middleware integration, data analytics, and back-end applications. Familiarity with integration to ERP, quality, Centric, quality & regulatory solutions.Data Mapping and Modelling: Strong capability to analyse and map data between systems; create entity relationships and document data definitions. Experience with master data objects such as material, customer, location, formula, planning and executiong attributes.Analytical & Documentation Skills: Skilled in translating business processes into system and data requirements, experience writing functional specifications and data mapping documentation.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Project Management Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and traditional project delivery frameworks.Software Tools: Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or other similar platforms for requirements gathering, testing, and workflow documentation.Technical Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers, testers, and architects to ensure proper implementation of solutions.Problem-Solving Attitude: A proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions to address technical and business pain points.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, Centric integrations, or similar platforms is highly desirable.3–5+ years’ experience as a Systems or Business Analyst in R&D IT systems, data integration, or ERP implementation.Business Anlysis or Agile certification (CBAP, CCBA, Scrum Master) advantageous.What We OfferOpportunity to work on a cutting-edge technology transformation project within a dynamic and evolving industry.A collaborative environment that values innovation, curiosity, and professional development.Competitive salary and benefits.A chance to shape key processes in a leading organisation.We take pleasure seriously.
