Capitec’s Savings team is looking for a dynamic Business Analyst to help shape the future of banking for every client. Join a team at the heart of Capitec, responsible for the bank’s core savings products – including main accounts, access anytime, fixed accounts, and notice deposits. You’ll work closely with the Product Manager, Business Engineers, and Developers to drive innovation and ensure a seamless client experience.Key Responsibilities Deliver new features and enhancements that directly impact 24 million clients. Partner with the Product Manager, Business Engineers, and stakeholders to define problem statements, desired outcomes, and measures of success. Analyse and enhance the full lifecycle of savings products, identifying friction points and opportunities for improvement. Conduct workshops, interviews, and system/data analysis to elicit and document clear, actionable requirements. Collaborate within a fast-paced, agile environment to drive change and maintain alignment across teams. Document processes, customer journeys, data flows, and non-functional requirements. Work closely with solution architects and engineers to shape solution options, high-level designs, and integration contracts (APIs/events). Support testing activities to ensure all solutions meet business requirements and comply with financial regulatory standards. EducationMinimumA relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis; andGrade 12 National Certificate / VocationalFor internal applicants: Completion of BA School of Learning Levels 1 & 2IdealA relevant post-graduate degree in Business, IT, or a related field;Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, or ECBA); andAWS Practitioner certificationExperience And Knowledge At least 5 years’ relevant work experience in Business Analysis, working independently with minimal oversight. Proven track record of delivering client-facing features and evidence-based best practice solutions. Business and data analysis; translating business requirements into processes, context diagrams, and visualisations. Stakeholder engagement and collaboration (strong interpersonal skills); demonstrated ability to lead / coach / influence; using business rules, data, and insight to shape decisions and drive alignment with organisational goals. Functional and business process design. Project management principles, Agile development lifecycle, and SDLC experience. A high level of adaptability; thriving in Agile, fast-paced environments where priorities can shift rapidly. Change management, quality assurance, and understanding of strategic planning processes. Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by a critical-thinking mindset. Background in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or similar fields / industries – experience in Financial Services related to Retail Banking is a plus, but not required.
