Title: Business Analyst/TelecomLocation: Calgary, AB (Onsite)Responsibilities:Required Skills and Qualifications:Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Software EngineeringMeet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectivesExcellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skillsCoach, mentor and provide direction to the BA’s working on the platformMinimum of 10 years in a software development environmentMinimum of 10 years of experience working in mixed philosophy (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative etc.) software development environmentKnowledge of the telecommunications (cable, internet, telephony, wireless) industry is an assetExcellent communication (written, oral, and listening)Diligent in following up and monitoring tasksStrong creative and analytical thinking abilitiesStrong problem solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong organizational and planning skillsStrong presentation and facilitation skills at various levels of the organizationStrong technical skillsExceptional motivation with the ability to work both independently and in a team environmentGood understanding of business processes and rules and how they apply to business successOutgoing nature with a positive, “can-do” attitudeCustomer focusedAble to acknowledge, embrace, and adapt easily to changeWork well under pressure to meet specific deadlinesDeal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerityAble to quickly learn new business and technical conceptsComfortable to work in an open, highly collaborative, fast-pace, ever changing team environment
