Position: Business Analyst with Banking Commercial Cards experienceLocation: Toronto, Canada Hybrid Duration: Long Term Contract Mandatory skills10 - 15 years BA experience in banking with specifically on commercial card experience. Deep knowledge of commercial cards, merchant acquiring, corporate card billing, G/L, FX, and payment messaging standards. Strong stakeholder and cross-functional collaboration skills (Tech, Ops, Compliance, Product). Proficiency in SQL, data reconciliation and ETL tools; able to analyze payments data and integrate system flows. Experience writing acceptance criteria/user stories and managing end-to-end testing across technical and business teamsDetailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities)Requirements Elicitation & Documentation:Lead discovery workshops, interviews, and focus groups with internal/external stakeholders to capture detailed business and system requirements—covering issuing, acquiring, billing, AML/KYC, foreign exchange, ISO 20022/SWIFT standards. Business Process Modeling:Map current/future state workflows (BPMN, Visio), analyze process inefficiencies, and recommend improvements specific to card lifecycle management and treasury/payment solutionsData Analysis & Testing:Reconcile transaction/payment data, perform SQL/data-stream analysis, develop test scenarios and validate outcomes during integration testing and UAT. Payment Messaging Expertise:Work with SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 formats, ensure accurate message transformation, routing, and reconciliation in FX and wire payment contexts. Stakeholder Management & Delivery Support:Align expectations with stakeholders and product owners, manage backlog and user stories, coordinate testing, training, and feature rollouts.
