Robert Half is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst for a hybrid onsite role in Summit, NJ. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a renowned organization in the insurance industry. In this position, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business and technology teams by gathering and analyzing business requirements, defining project scopes, and facilitating effective communication. This role will be onsite 3 days a week and insurance industry experience is required. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals. Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements and solutions. Develop functional specifications and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the project scope. Conduct gap analysis and recommend strategies for process improvements based on business needs. Facilitate meetings and discussions between stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment. Support teams in project planning, testing, and implementation phases to meet deadlines and deliverables.
Utilize your insurance industry expertise to identify potential risks, opportunities, and unique technical needs. Provide ongoing support to ensure the smooth adoption of system solutions by business users. Insurance industry experience is required—preferably in areas such as policy administration, claims, underwriting, or finance. Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements for technical projects. Strong ability to translate technical jargon into understandable business terms for stakeholders at various levels. Experience in analyzing workflows, processes, and data to recommend advantageous solutions. Highly skilled in stakeholder management and consensus building. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in common business tools (e. g. , Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, project management tools). Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field is strongly preferred.
