Business Controller

As a Business Controller at Ciner Glass Belgium, you will play a crucial role within the regional finance team, as well as a part of the international group. In this role, you will be involved with both accounting and management reporting processes. Additionally, this position plays a key role in fostering a data-driven culture, standardizing monthly reporting and focusing on actionable insights. Ready to find your 'Bottle Happiness' with us?Responsibilities & Key TasksFinancial Management and Reporting Build and assist in an effective control environment to safeguard financial information and operational dataBuild and assist in budgeting and management reporting processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, business plans and ensure alignment with organizational goalsAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reportsAccounting Records and Month-end ClosingSupport the implementation of relevant accounting policies, processes and controlsSet up relevant KPI’s in cooperation with the head of the department in LommelParticipate in the month-end closing processes, including manual journals, accruals, etc.Put controls in place for active stock & material management in the ERP-systemSolid understanding of flows in an ERP-environment and making them as lean and automated as possible in cooperation with the head of the department in LommelReporting & controllingProvide management information related to bad debtAssist in the preparation of management reporting and the monthly business reviewSupport the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as neededProvide assistance during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries in cooperation with the head of the departmentMaintain relevant financial data in a BI tool and consolidate results for the monthly business reviewSet up new controls in cooperation with the head of the department in LommelMonitor price evolutions in cooperation with the procurement departmentQualifications, Competencies & ExperienceA completed education at the bachelor's or master's level, in a relevant field Knowledge of month-end closing processes as well as awareness of audit procedures and requirements.Experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), BI tools such as Power BI and other manufacturing related software solutions would be a bonus.A hands-on mentality to tackle challenges quickly and efficiently.Persuasive and smooth relationship builder with various stakeholders and customers.Strong skills in communication (oral and written Dutch and English), time management, analytical and problem-solving thinking.Know how to handle change.
