Business Controller / Onboarding Specialist

Role descriptionThe job holder ensures that all operations relating to trading, execution and securities services are handled in a timely manner and with high quality. The main responsibilities are listed below.The job holder will also provide assistance to the Head of Asset Management. In time, the job holder might shift to a position fully dedicated to the Investment Team. Responsibilities· Responsible for executing trades on behalf of clients and the asset management department on all asset classes· Assisting Private Bankers in complex trades and illiquid instruments· Being up to date on financial markets and macroeconomics. Be a permanent invitee (non-voting) of the Bank Investment Committee· Assisting with market research the asset management department (pure research basis)· Quoting Private Bankers the bank deposit rates and executing term deposits according to the Exco guidance· Maintaining relationships with brokers and custodians · Help to develop IT tools and queries to automate and streamline the function· Assuring the best execution in compliance with Bank policies and procedures· Overseeing and contributing to the trading lifecycle · Booking of executed trades· Contributing to regulatory reporting around the treasury and execution service· Gain knowledge of main aspects of the securities and cash functions of the bank and act as a backup when required· Execute FX trades and booking· Work on projects to improve the operational set-up and assist to resolve potential problems or issues Requirements · Degree in banking or finance and good knowledge of financial markets; · Minimum 1 year professional experience; · Good knowledge of MS Office applications, ability to code in VBA and/or Python is a strong plus; · AMAF certification is a plus· Team player with strong analytical & communication skills and service –oriented approach; · Hands-on approach with ability to work autonomously in a quality-oriented & timely manner; · Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; · Fluency in English (written and spoken), any additional language will be an asset.
