Business Data Analyst

Role: Data Business Analyst Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Job Type: Contract Pay Range: $55 to $60/ hour. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to support Gen‑AI initiatives for Commercial P&C insurance underwriting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with underwriting and data science teams to design and execute data validation strategies that ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of AI‑driven applications.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with underwriting and data science teams to understand Gen‑AI model requirements and design structured test‑data strategies.Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test datasets tailored to P&C insurance underwriting use cases.Ensure data quality, consistency, and relevance for model validation and production readiness.Apply QA best practices to validate Gen‑AI model outputs for accuracy and completeness.Partner with product owners to identify underwriting use cases and develop data‑collection processes and tools.Source and organize raw data, including broker submissions, to produce high‑quality AI training datasets.Conduct quality assurance and relevancy reviews on existing validation datasets.Work collaboratively with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to align with model and data quality standards.QualificationsExperience in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on Commercial P&C.Experience in data‑centric roles, including data analysis, modeling, or data QA.Proven experience creating and managing test data for complex AI/ML or Gen‑AI applications.Strong understanding of insurance data structures, policy lifecycles, and underwriting processes.Expertise in Power BI for translating business needs into meaningful dashboards and insights.Excellent communication and documentation skills for stakeholder engagement.Good to have: experience in data migration, master data management, or data governance.Ability to function effectively in a multi‑vendor ecosystem.
