The opportunityHitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact.We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.How You’ll Make An ImpactYou will define and executes key sales and business development activities for Japan and APAC, setting targets for volume, margin, and portfolio mix.You will develop new opportunities and expands scope with existing customers across utilities, developers, industrials, data center operators, and e-mobility players.You will lead the growth of Power Consulting services in Japan and APAC by leveraging strong customer engagement, opportunity identification, and effective proposal strategies.You will facilitate collaboration with other Hitachi group companies to drive consulting growth and co-develop digital portfolio offerings, particularly in data centers and e-mobility.You will conduct market and competitive analysis; monitors trends and identifies opportunities to proactively shape consulting offerings.You will develop relationships with key customer decision-makers and influencers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.You will support risk management by identifying and mitigating commercial risks during proposal and contract negotiation phases.You will maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and ensures successful execution of the sales cycle.You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your BackgroundAt least bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or consulting within the energy sector.Strong experience in customer engagement and consultative selling; proven track record of developing business and building customer relationships in Japan and the APAC region.Knowledge of power systems, renewable energy integration, grid modernization, energy storage, and digital energy solutions.Ability to build cross-functional relationships, collaborate across cultures, and coordinate with other business units.Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Willingness to travel across Japan and APAC as required (up to 50%).Candidate must have work authorization to be employed in Japan.Fluency in Japanese and English (written and verbal) is required.More About UsWorking Conditions and benefits:Working hours: 900-1730 (1hr break).
