Company: POLITICOPOLITICO is looking for a Business Development Director to lead the expansion of AgencyIQ, POLITICO’s regulatory intelligence division. The BDD position is a sales leadership position with the primary objective of bringing AgencyIQ, currently a POLITICO product that operates in the U.S., to the European market.AgencyIQ, POLITICO’s B2B regulatory intelligence division serving the chemical and healthcare industries, is seeking an experienced, talented and ambitious candidate who will work proactively to achieve business objectives while maintaining a culture of collaboration and professional development. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a growing team in Brussels and beyond.This is a full-time, office-based position (with hybrid flexibility) located in Brussels, and involves some travel to the UK, Ireland and around mainland Europe.What You’ll DoHave a strong entrepreneurial, consultative, and client-first mindsetDevelop outreach strategies and build relationships with regulatory professionals at European life sciences and chemicals organizations for the purpose of winning new accounts for POLITICO in EuropeCollaborate with members of the POLITICO Pro team in Brussels, as well the AgencyIQ team in the U.S. to identify new revenue opportunities for AgencyIQ among POLITICO’s existing set of B2B accountsMaintain a thorough understanding of clients’ regulatory and policy priorities; identify revenue growth opportunities for AgencyIQ and POLITICO’s other B2B products Keep updated on competitive trends within the regulatory intelligence market Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales results Conceptualize, prepare, and deliver sales presentations Embody the successful brand presence of POLITICO in the market; represent AgencyIQ at member briefings, network events and industry conferences Bring energy and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentWhat You’ll NeedRequired:At least 3-5 years of professional experience, including B2B salesProven ability to meet or exceed high sales targetsAbility to prioritize and recognize business critical matters in ambiguous environmentsEntrepreneurial mind set, outgoing nature, flexible working style and strong client service ethicA university degree, or equivalent through work experience or other professional qualificationInterest in, and understanding of, current regulatory and policy issues Preferred:An understanding of the specific regulatory topics managed by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)Experience with political stakeholder engagementExperience in information services or software sales with a consultative selling approachExposure to Salesforce or other CRM tools is preferredWe value our peopleOur benefits package is built for you, and includes:   Our teams benefit from country-specific, competitive compensation and benefits packages—including pension, healthcare, training opportunities and more.  With a multinational team, strong ties to EU institutions, and flexible work options including working from abroad, we offer our employees an environment that supports both professional and personal development.
