Reporting directly to senior management, you'll be integral to our business development strategy specializing in digitalization for large and complex construction projects. As our new Business Development Director, you will be responsible for strategically developing customer and partner relationships for CN3's business in Denmark and the Nordic region, ensuring we meet our ambitious growth targets for digital construction services.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs our Business Development Director, you will:Drive business growth in VDC, BIM, and digitalization services for large and complex construction projects across Denmark and the Nordic region to meet established growth targets.Ensure early identification of opportunities in major infrastructure projects, hospital complexes, commercial developments, and public sector initiatives requiring advanced digital construction management.Continuously update and maintain CN3's business pipeline for large-scale projects, implementing rigorous go/no-go decision processes for opportunity pursuit, together with the existing commercial team.Coordinate closely with technical teams including VDC specialists, BIM managers, and digital engineers to develop capture strategies and winning proposals for complex project opportunities.Develop and deliver bid-winning strategies for digital transformation programs, including commercial offerings that demonstrate clear ROI for digital construction investments.Maintain customer focus throughout project delivery, ensuring continuity from business development through project execution, including framework agreement management for multi-year engagements.Participate actively in CN3's leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and market development initiatives.Build and maintain an effective network with key stakeholders in Denmark's construction sector, including major contractors, developers, public building authorities, and infrastructure owners.Contribute to development of strategies and action plans supporting business growth in digital construction, particularly for complex projects requiring integrated digital delivery.Identify technical development areas in emerging technologies (AI, IoT, digital twins, automated construction) and communicate market needs to product development teams.Maintain close collaboration with discipline leaders across CN3 and our international network, sharing market intelligence and best practices in digital construction.Establish strategic partnerships with technology vendors, software providers, and complementary service providers to enhance CN3's digital construction offerings.Represent CN3 at industry events, client presentations, and strategic forums, positioning the company as a thought leader in construction digitalization.Your ProfileProfessional ExperienceEngineering or construction background with deep understanding of project delivery for large and complex buildings or infrastructureMinimum 8-10 years of business development experience, with at least 5 years focused on construction, engineering, or technology sectorsProven track record in winning and managing contracts for major construction projects (>100M DKK)Established network within Danish construction industry, including relationships with major contractors, consulting engineers, and public sector clientsBusiness AcumenStrategic thinking with ability to identify market opportunities and develop go-to-market strategiesCommercial expertise in structuring complex deals, framework agreements, and risk-sharing modelsFinancial acumen to develop business cases demonstrating ROI of digital construction investmentsExperience with public tenders and EU procurement procedures for large construction projectsTrack record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in competitive marketsLeadership & CommunicationExcellent communication skills in Danish and English (additional Nordic languages are an advantage)Executive presence with ability to engage C-level stakeholders and influence decision-makingTeam collaboration skills to work effectively with technical specialists, project managers, and support functionsPresentation skills to deliver compelling proposals and lead client workshopsCultural awareness and ability to navigate the Danish business environmentAbout CN3CN3 is Northern Europe's leading digital management, engineering and technology partner for complex building and infrastructure projects.
