Business Development Engineer

The Business Development Engineer bridges technical expertise and business growth, driving the identification, evaluation and delivery of Transmission Lines projects. This role combines engineering knowledge with market insight to assess project feasibility, develop strategic partnerships, and deliver business value.Duties:Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities and TL sector dynamicsAnalyse demand, competitors and regulations to guide project strategyCollaborate with teams to evaluate technical feasibility and economic viabilityPerform site assessments, resource modelling and feasibility studiesPrepare project proposals, technical presentations and business casesEngage with clients, regulators and stakeholders to define requirementsBuild and maintain relationships with suppliers, partners and authoritiesIdentify strategic partnerships to enhance capabilities and access new marketsDevelop market entry and expansion strategies for new regions or segmentsBid for small or hourly projects when requiredQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related3+ years’ experience in business and project developmentStrong knowledge of TL technologies, project processes and regulationsSkills:Ability to analyse complex technical data and develop clear business casesExcellent communication and presentation skills for all stakeholder levelsProven relationship-building with clients, partners and industry playersEntrepreneurial mindset with a passion for renewable energy and sustainabilityAt Elecnor, we are committed to building an environment where equal employment opportunities are central to everything we do.
