We are seeking a Business Development (BD) Expert to champion a science-based innovation project. We address the pressing global need for more effective and personalised cancer therapies and aim to prepare the commercialisation of a novel and revolutionizing technology in the field of T cell-based cancer immunotherapies. We are looking for a highly motivated business development expert to assist in transforming a #science-based innovation project into a successful #business to benefit the world. The BD expert (also called Commercial Champion, aka CC) will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for an innovative technology in cell-based cancer therapies. The BD Expert/CC will be actively supported in all tasks by business experts from Helsinki Innovation Services Ltd, the technology transfer company of the University of Helsinki. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded leader who wants to be part of preparing the commercialisation of a novel, proprietary technology towards the market. You will  Lead the commercialisation efforts of the project, together with Helsinki Innovation Services and the project science team by creating business strategies and plans for commercialisation. Be responsible for market research, competitor analysis and understanding the business ecosystem. Create new business opportunities and find potential partners in the field of personalized cancer cell therapy.   Develop relationships with key stakeholders, future investors, and customers.  Act as the primary point of contact for TCR-GO and represent the project and team at industry events and conferences, as well as at investor and partnering events. Be a key member of the TCR-GO team to ensure that the project meets its commercial and technical goals. We expect  A successful candidate will have: Proven track record of creating new business from oncology, cell therapy, or similar field of deep technology. Experience with creating and executing business plans and strategies. Previous entrepreneurial or leadership experience and working with the scientific community.  Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Experience in fundraising is seen as a benefit. Experience in the US market/commercialisation process is an advantage. Experience in negotiating licensing deals is seen as a benefit. Self-reliance and practical hands-on business capability, i.e., readiness to work within a startup environment.  We offer Meaningful job: You can have an impact while preparing the commercialisation of a novel technology developed at the University of Helsinki that could benefit a huge number of people. The team: You will be part of a team of professionals in HaikaLab Immuno-oncology group (www.haikalab.com) and experts who have a track record in commercialising research innovations.
