Job Description

Business Development (BD) is a specialized talent acquisition function for investment roles across all asset classes. We conduct thorough market landscape studies and perform due diligence on candidates that starts with an extensive interview process through qualitative and quantitative assessments. This internship is conversion eligible, with a flexible schedule. Excellent verbal and written communication in Japanese and English is required. High-performing candidates may be considered for a full-time management trainee role in Tokyo, Japan. LocationInternship: Singapore or Hong KongPost-conversion (full-time): Tokyo Role OverviewData Management and Visualization:Maintain accurate candidate reports with senior BD stakeholders.Build dashboards and analytical tools to synthesize the talent landscape. Market Intelligence and Strategy:Conduct market landscape studies, and monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and talent market dynamics for senior management.Partner with senior BD on projects to strengthen recruitment processes and improve talent attraction. Recruitment Lifecycle: Support end-to-end hiring for portfolio managers: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiations, and onboarding support.Manage candidate pipelines from external agencies, employee referrals, job boards, and direct outreach. QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English. Able to engage candidates and internal stakeholders professionally.Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Finance, Management, Business Analytics, or a related field. Outstanding Bachelor’s degree holders in relevant fields will be considered.Experience with data-driven projects, such as data management, data visualization, and summary reports.Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable multitasking.Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.Basic understanding of investment roles (e.g., research, portfolio management) and market terminology.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
