What To ExpectLocation: Amsterdam, NL (on-site)Working Hours: Full-Time (40 hours p/w)Duration: 6 monthsStart date: January 2026PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE ENROLLED IN EDUCATION FOR THE FULL DURATION OF THE INTERNSHIP TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLEThe EMEA Residential Energy team is looking for a Business Development Intern to support us in our mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. This is a dynamic role, that requires a broad range of skillsets and experience. You will be responsible for owning and executing strategic analyses, developing new business models, and synthesizing tough problems into executive-level decision points. Strong candidates for this role will be well-versed in residential energy markets and technologies (solar, storage, home charging, V2X, etc.), and will bring a structured approach to solving problems.Working on Tesla's Residential Energy team requires wearing many hats and adapting to a fast-paced work environment. Besides a rock-solid work ethic and a strong team-oriented personality, members of the team must display creativity, passion, and a desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting landscape.What You'll DoAssess new and emerging markets and applications to unlock sales opportunities for our residential energy portfolio, including Powerwall, Wall Connector, and our VPP offeringsUnderstand competitive landscape, emerging industry trends and synthesize insights to inform strategy, offers, and product roadmapsInform roadmap for residential energy solutions across EMEA markets; Identify relevant use cases, incl. regional requirements; liaise with policy and compliance teams accordinglySome of the topics we want to explore together: C&I storage market in EMEA, V2X business models & technologies, financing solutionsWhat You'll BringEntrepreneurial mindset – self-starter who can explore and qualify opportunities with little direction in cross-functional teamsStrong communications and market analysis skill, first experience in financial and techno-economic modeling will be an advantageCurrently studying in (Industrial) Engineering, Economics, Business Administration and/or equivalentLevel C1 in English (written and spoken)Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power PointExperience with Python or MatLab is a plusExcellent understanding of energy industry; deep knowledge of residential energy technology and value proposition will be an advantage, Tesla
