Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team in Poland as a Business Development & M&A Manager. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our renewable energy footprint in the Polish market by sourcing, structuring, and executing acquisitions, partnerships, and project development opportunities across solar, wind, and energy storage. This role will also involve contributing to commercial strategies such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), without being limited to them.Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate and execute M&A transactions for renewable energy projects and portfolios in Poland, from early screening to due diligence, negotiation, and closing.Identify and develop new business opportunities, including co-development agreements, partnerships, and greenfield project pipelines.Lead negotiations with project developers, investors, and strategic partners to expand our pipeline and secure bankable projects.Support commercial strategy by contributing to PPA origination and route-to-market solutions, ensuring alignment with project and financing requirements.Collaborate with finance, technical, and legal teams to evaluate opportunities, build financial models, and optimize project economics.Oversee the lifecycle of selected projects, from feasibility through Ready-to-Build (RtB), ensuring compliance with Polish regulations, permitting, and grid connection requirements.Maintain a strong network with developers, advisors, utilities, corporate offtakers, and other market players to stay ahead of regulatory and market developments.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Law or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.5+ years of experience in renewable energy business development, M&A, or project development (experience in Poland strongly preferred).Proven track record of executing transactions and/or leading renewable project development to financial close or COD.Strong understanding of the Polish renewable energy market, including regulatory frameworks, competitive dynamics, and key stakeholders.Experience with solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage projects.Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently and deliver results under tight timelines.Fluency in Polish and English is required; Spanish is a plus.What We OfferRemote work flexibility.Stable employment based on a permanent contract, with competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Opportunities for professional growth in a global, multicultural environment.Private healthcare package.
