AFL - Hyperscale and AI Network SolutionsProvider of market-leading fiber solutions for hyperscale and AI networks is seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager - Data Centre & Intelligent SolutionsLocation: Remote within Germany (regular travel across DACH Region, Nordics and NL). Working in partnership with ProArecruitment, AFL is looking to appoint a high‑impact Business Development Manager role with ownership of a defined portfolio of enterprise accounts across DACH Region and Northern Europe. This is a newly created position, giving you the opportunity to fully utilise your previous business development success gained in the data centre arena. The role is ideal for a commercially sharp, strategically minded sales professional who thrives in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments and prefers long‑term value creation over short‑term transactional wins.About the RoleReporting to the Head of Sales for Northern Europe, you will take structured ownership of a set of in‑region enterprise accounts, supported by an established Northern European ecosystem mapping and target account plan. The expectation is to spend at least 70% of your time visiting new and existing clients across DACH Region, The Nordics and NL. Working with an existing, robust strategic sales plan, your focus will be on pipeline qualification, commercial execution and revenue delivery versus rebuilding market lists or duplicating marketing activity.The role requires rigorous opportunity qualification, disciplined prioritisation and the confidence to invest time where it delivers meaningful long‑term value. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, maintain strong CRM discipline, and adapt quickly as priorities evolve.Key Responsibilities· Take ownership of a defined portfolio of data centre, cloud and AI accounts across Northern Europe (DACH, Nordics, NL), developing them through structured, long‑term relationship building.· Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, operating confidently at commercial and strategic levels.· Engage early in customer decision cycles, positioning the organisation as a credible, long‑term partner well before formal procurement stages.· Apply a structured, data‑driven approach to opportunity qualification, pipeline management and forecasting, focusing on opportunities with genuine strategic and commercial value.· Drive opportunity progression from discovery through proposal/tender to close, ensuring clear milestones, actions, owners and timelines.· Represent the organisation across DACH and Northern Europe through customer meetings, site visits and selected industry events, travelling regularly as required.· Maintain strong CRM discipline (Salesforce), forecasting accuracy and structured reporting.Experience & Skills Required· Minimum 5 years’ experience in data centre infrastructure, connectivity, fibre/cabling or a closely related B2B technical sales environment.· Strong exposure to DACH Region and Northern European markets.· Proven success selling into enterprise and/or service‑provider customers across complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.· Demonstrated consultative, data‑driven selling style with evidence of pipeline creation, opportunity qualification and revenue delivery.· Experience orchestrating and motivating cross‑functional account teams, ideally in evolving or less mature environments.· Strong commercial competence: pricing, margin awareness, deal evaluation and clear communication of risks and assumptions.· High CRM capability (Salesforce) and disciplined forecasting.· Fluent German and English (written and spoken).· Willingness to travel across DACH Region, Nordics and the Netherlands.Additional Information· Significant growth and development opportunities· Fully remote role, ideally based in GermanyA competitive package is offered, including car allowance and enhanced holiday allocation.To apply for this position, please send your CV to anne.wilkes@proarecruitment.comPlease note: We aim to contact all successful candidates by 31st March 2026.
