Our Client is a global powerhouse in engineering, construction, trading, and investment. Founded almost 100 years ago now operates worldwide across multiple sectors.They look to expand in Germany and for this purpose they need an exceptional Business Development Manager, a pioneer enthusiastic and self-driven profile.WHY such a role can be of interest ? You can become the tomorrow Country Manager in Germany of a very powerful multi-national & multi-sectorial organisation .This role is for the company start up in Germany, and will act to grow the business and set up a legal entity, together with an existing (recently appointed external contractor that is acting as a Power segment). Both will collaborate with the Client’s Europe Regional HQ in CEE. Work location: Berlin preferred; flexible across GermanyContract: Open (full-time, part-time, B2B, employment—all acceptable); Full time Employment is an option as well (ie. hiring on PL payroll and transferred to the GE entity as soon as started)Start date: ASAP! This is a critical role so quality and time are both essential!Travel: Domestic and some regional to be expected (more intense at the beginning)The Scope of the role: Expansion role - Identify and develop business opportunities in Germany’s renewables and power sectorBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (OEMs, developers, TSOs, suppliers)Deliver intelligence, market insights, and project leads to HQYou will act as a bridge between CLIENT and stakeholders in government, industry and the private sectorThe few most important must haves of the best matching Candidate in this role are:ELIMINATORY requirements:senior experience PV+BESS or PV/BESS, ideally with a direct experience from a major OEM or developer in Germany. Not interested in wind power experienceSomeone who worked at Electricity Board, TSO or supplier has an extensive experience in sales within the renewables power sectorGerman and English speaker; holder of work permit (if not national GE).Full JD ResponsibilitiesMap and understand the German infrastructure and power marketsTrack energy-related political trends and regulatory movementsPromote CLIENT’s services and identify suitable tenders or partnershipsManage multiple client relationships, pipelines, and deadlinesReport findings and progress to the HQAct as a bridge between market reality and HQ objectivesMaintain high compliance with HQ management principlesRequirementsBachelor’s or higher in:Electrical Engineering /Petroleum Engineering, International Business, or related fields, with some particular knowledge of the renewables energy (legislation, etc)Min 8-10 years of experience in the power sector (gas ideally) with the related experience in the renewable sector with demonstrable commercial experienceFluent in German and EnglishStrong client management, project coordination, and communication skillsStrong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Legally eligible to work in GermanyPreferred Background:Cooperated/ Worked with or for major OEMs or and DevelopersElectricity Boards, TSOs, or battery companiesDemonstrated track record of achieving results in developing power projects, e.g. CCPP, renewable major projects.C&B draft packageSalary: No fixed budget – open to market rate suggestions could be minimum 100k Eur fixed p.a. - in any case a good package is open to be discussed for the right person!Bonus: tied to project performance - TBDContract Type: Open – flexible based on candidate preference and hiring entityFinal package may include travel allowance, mobility support, insurance, and more (TBD)Note for the eligible candidates - Except the Antal prequalification interviews you will have 3 more interview with our CLIENT (2 video and 1 final in person) that will be compressed as much as possible.
