With offices in Sydney, Cape Town and Mombasa, we ensure a seamless end-to-end experience for our clients.Role DescriptionAs Business Development Manager for VIC, you will be primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of travel agency accounts with the objective of growing revenue, increasing market share and retaining business. As the owner of the relationship, you will be the face of Bench Africa in the Victoria territory for both our travel agency partners and their clients. You will drive brand awareness, identify new opportunities, and exemplify Bench Africa’s service delivery standards. You will also develop, implement, and monitor your trade business plan to ensure targets are achieved for the territory and the brand’s overall goals. The role is expected to invest ~4 days per week on the road interacting with key accounts, allowing appropriate admin/follow-up time. Regional travel will also be required as will ocassional weekend work for travel expos and events. The role is strictly based in the Melbourne metropolitan region, Victoria.Skills & QualificationsStrong business development and sales acumenExcellent communication and presentation skillsSound understanding of the Australian travel industry consortia structures and networks.3+ years experience in the VIC travel industry, particularly in promoting travel or destination managementProven track record of meeting sales targets and building client relationshipsAbility to work independently and as part of a wider interstate teamHighly organised and detail-orientedKnowledge of Africa product and travel destinations highly desirable
