We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring, and capable senior business developer to join our Development & Projects team. In this role, you will develop the business case from identifying the business opportunity to transaction closing. You will be the key interface between different stakeholders, managing the business case and preparing the decision-making inputs for SteCo and Executive Board decisions. You will be part of an energetic new team with an exciting growth ambition, with the opportunity to not only execute but also proactively shape the future of our business and contribute directly to Alpiq’s ambitious strategic targets.Your Main ResponsibilitiesManaging and executing transactions focusing on BESS (#M&A)Ownership of the business case (opportunity identification, assessment, valuation, due diligence, negotiations and closing)Cross-functional coordination with legal, tax, technical, trading and project teams to ensure smooth execution and internal alignment across all phases of the transactionDeveloping a robust opportunity pipeline and maintaining a strong business network, establishing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to accelerating acquisition of business opportunities in our core marketsIdentifying, monitoring and anticipating business strategies, market trends, risks and opportunitiesBeing a part of an exciting growth story and contributing to the success of #energytransition in EuropeYour profile5+ years experience in a relevant business development/M&A function in the utility scale energy industry or energy fund.Master’s degree in economics, finance, business or equivalentProfound understanding and proven track record in financial modelling, valuation principles, structuring of investment decisions and relevant risk assessmentsStrong skill and track record in commercial deal negotiation and deal structuringAbility to build trust and relationships in a complex and diverse environment and positive energy to shape, motivate and drive success across diverse teams and stakeholdersAbility to prepare and write decision making documents for C-Level audienceExcellent project management and communication skillsHighly motivated, driven, and results-oriented personalityProficiency in English and German; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous#infrastructureinvestment #projectacquisition #directinvestment #energystorageYour benefitsCompetitive salary packageMarket-oriented salaryTraining and developmentDiverse opportunities for career growthFlexible work modelsVarious flexible work models
