With an expanding portfolio of utility-scale assets in Poland and ambitions for regional growth, the company is building out a leadership team that will secure its position in the energy transition landscape.To support this phase of development and prepare for M&A, strategic partnerships, and sustainable financing activities, the company is seeking to appoint aBusiness Development Manager BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems)Position Objective:Serve as a leader and expert in BESS business development within an international corporation, responsible for building revenue streams for large-scale battery energy storage projects in Poland. The role requires integrating knowledge and competencies from various business units (finance, engineering, development, construction, M&A) and initiating BESS projects—without being a formal team manager.Key Responsibilities:Identify and develop new revenue streams for BESS projects in Poland, with a focus on utility-scale installations and business models such as system services, arbitrage, and demand management.Collaborate with various business units: actively gather knowledge from finance, engineering, development, construction, and M&A teams to create integrated solutions.Initiate and drive a BESS project portfolio: manage projects from concept to commercialization, coordinating activities across diverse company departments to build an impressive portfolio of battery storage assets in Poland.Conduct market analysis, assess investment opportunities, and optimize investment models in close cooperation with business analysts.Network and develop partnerships with technology providers, grid operators, financial institutions, and key stakeholders in the energy sector.Act as an “internal consultant”: oversee the integration of expertise from across the company, independently handling key decision-making and recommendations related to BESS development—without direct responsibility for a subordinate team.Key Competencies:Experience in energy storage/BESS/renewable energy markets or in infrastructure projects within the energy sector.Practical knowledge of project finance, engineering, and construction of energy installations.Ability to analyze business models and create revenue pathways.Strong communication skills: able to collaborate with different departments and build relationships with external partners.Proactive, self-driven, and ready to act as an expert/ambassador for BESS solutions within an international organization.Excellent command of English (work within an international environment).Organizational Placement:No direct reports—acts as an expert coordinating cross-functional projects and initiatives, works closely with an analyst and representatives of various business units.Reports directly to the Head of Department or Leadership Team responsible for development/innovative energy solutions.
