Position Summary:As part of the Business Development team, the Business Manager is a key role in shaping the overall approach to due diligence, partnering activities and go to market commercialization activities at Cordavis. This individual will have a key role in supporting and/or leading cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are met along the entire Business and Commercial Development process.The Business Manager will support the identification and execution of external partnerships in addition to managing a network of partners with the intent to develop a robust pipeline of commercial opportunities. They will drive business initiatives through financial sound business case development and go-to-market strategies to enhance growth and market penetration. Internally they will coordinate multiple cross-functional stakeholders such as legal, product management, regulatory, and quality. Additional business-related tasks and responsibilities can be assigned to support the team’s objectives, ensuring the Business Development team drive operational efficiency within the organization.Duties and Responsibilities:Commercial Development & Partnering (40%) Support the creation of a 2-3 year roadmap to implement the enterprise strategy within Business Development including the building of an opportunity pipeline by category with an initial focus on biosimilars.Build robust business cases to justify new commercialization initiatives, including cost/benefit analysis and ROI projections.Demonstrable ability to craft go-to-market strategies, with knowledge of market segmentation and competitive analysis.Acting, on occasion, as the primary commercial operations liaison with third-party providers to manage contracts, oversee deliverables (e.g. co-pay programs, patient access, competitive positioning), and ensure service integration.Due Diligence (40%)Lead and/or support the confidential review and due diligence process to evaluate potential partnering opportunities that are aligned with Cordavis’ overall business strategy.Work with cross functional partners and teams to guide due diligence assessments, efficient decision-making and completion of transactions in a timely manner.Develop diligence reports, risk evaluation & mitigation strategies in addition to governance presentations.Create and revise processes to ensure high-functioning project management of activities related to diligence, partnering and licensing.Manage Cordavis visits to CMO sites, building strong relationships with counterparts at all levels. Owning the associated sourcing processes (e.g. RFP) to support the execution of operational aspects of business arrangements. This may include dual sourcing initiatives.Maintain and enhance relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Search & Evaluation (10%)As needed, may work with other colleagues to support in the identification, assessment and building of proposals for new opportunities, including the screening of products, companies, and therapeutic areas. This may include:Developing logically, scientifically, and financially sound analyses that informs business investment decisions.Building and presenting slides/business cases to senior management summarizing key relevant information to enable decision making.Other Activities (10%)Operating CRM software to capture, monitor and maintain all commercial activities related to existing and potential partners.Coordinating conferencing schedules and trade shows to support commercial activities (e.g. PCMA, Ascembia, JP Morgan, BIO). Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders, taking advantage of opportunities to build strategic relationships to achieve a specific outcome.Education*: Essential: Bachelors in relevant specialities with a strong academic recordPreferrable: Advanced degree (MBA or Msc) with professional project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2)Experience*: 5-7 years of experience with a focus on project management, commercial operations and/or business developmentPrior experience in healthcare & life sciences industry preferablePrior experience in both managing and working with external providers/manufacturers/suppliersExperience working with global teamsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including market dynamics, regulatory landscape, competitive environment, and emerging trends.Demonstrated track record of success in leading and executing complex projects with an ability to influence others independent of level.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience presenting to executive-level audiences.Proven project management expertise with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Effective communicator with the ability to influence others independent of levelExpertise using CRM databases (e.g. Salesforce etc.) and project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Monday.com) is strongly preferred. Proactive self-starter who can marry the strategic with the practical.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Pragmatic and solution-focused, with the ability to deliver tangible outcomes.
