Job Title: Business Development Manager – Smart Machinery Solutions (Perawang-Based)Location: Perawang, Indonesia (must be based in Perawang)Department: Business IncubationReporting to: Business Incubation Director, IROOTECHAbout IROOTECHIROOTECH is a leading provider of industrial digitalization and smart manufacturing solutions across Southeast Asia. We are now seeking a dedicated BD Manager based in Perawang to lead regional BD and oversee local project coordination.Position SummaryThis dual-role opportunity combines Smart Machinery Solutions BD with local operational leadership. The successful candidate will have strong domain knowledge in machinery (Excavator, Tractor, Harvester, Heavy Truck, etc.) and Digital solutions, excel in new business development with value-based consultation, and be capable of coordinating on-site activities while developing strategic relationships with both clients and local contractors in the Forestry ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the growth of mechanical and digital solutions in the Smart Manufacturing sector, with emphasis on Forestry industry.Act as the local operations lead in Perawang, coordinating project execution, client communication, and internal alignment.Develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of client organizations, including working level, technical, and executive stakeholders as well as local contractors.Build and maintain positive working relationships with all levels in key account clients, local contractors, suppliers, and support partners in the Perawang area to ensure seamless implementation and support.Leverage deep heavy machinery domain knowledge to identify client challenges and present relevant, high-value solutions.Lead the entire sales cycle—from opportunity identification and proposal crafting to deal structuring, negotiation, and closure.Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, solution architecture, delivery) to design and deliver effective solutions tailored to client needs.Prepare financial analyses such as ROI, CapEx/OpEx models, and payback calculations to support value-driven selling.Monitor local project progress, coordinate issue resolution, and ensure smooth execution in collaboration with project managers.Represent IROOTECH at local meetings, providing market insight and operational feedback to regional leadership.Travel locally within Riau as needed to support client meetings and project activities.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Information Technology, or related fields.At least 5 years of experience in sales/BD with a proven track record in mechanical systems and industrial solutions.In-depth domain knowledge of machinery and digital products/solutions is essential.Experience in digital transformation, IIoT, or smart manufacturing is highly valued.Strong understanding of Forestry operation processes and Riau’s commercial environment.Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to manage relationships at all organizational levels and with local contractors.Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin is a plus.Independent, resilient, resourceful, and results-driven.Must be based in Perawang and able to work on-site full-time.Why Join UsBe the face of IROOTECH in a strategically important region.Lead exciting projects at the intersection of mechanical innovation and digital transformation.Competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth.Join a purpose-driven team shaping the future of industrial manufacturing in Southeast Asia.
