Job PurposeThe Business Development & Sales Professional plays a pivotal role in driving Lockton’s growth within the Employee Benefits insurance segment. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, delivering strategic broking advice, and managing the placement and execution of employee benefits programs for mid-sized to large corporate clients. With a strong focus on consultative selling and client engagement, the incumbent will serve as a trusted advisor—delivering tailored benefits solutions that balance cost, compliance, and workforce wellbeing. Operating in alignment with Lockton’s code of conduct and commitment to service excellence, this role also supports cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless delivery and sustained client satisfaction.Key Tasks, Duties and MeasurementsBuild and maintain trusted relationships with HR and C-suite stakeholdersConduct needs assessments and delivers tailored employee benefits proposalsLead benefits plan design and broking discussions, including benchmarking and RFPsFacilitate onboarding of new clients and ensure a smooth transition from incumbent brokersConduct regular review meetings and communicate proactively on plan performance and renewal strategiesCollaborate with internal teams (wellbeing, placement, legal, digital) to deliver holistic client solutionsIdentify and convert new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, and eventsPrepare and deliver proposals and pricing strategies for new and renewing clientsNegotiate placement terms and brokerage revenue with insurersMaintain and update sales pipeline in CRM with accuracy and disciplineCollaborate with placement and analytics teams to improve deal profitabilityOperational Excellence & InnovationsEnsure all sales and servicing activities meet Lockton’s compliance, regulatory, and documentation standardsComplete and file client agreements, proposal documents, and KYC documents on timeWork closely with internal teams (e.g. placement, wellness, compliance, tech) to ensure seamless client deliveryParticipate in internal training sessions, team knowledge sharing, and vendor updatesQualification and ExperienceRelevant Insurance DiplomaInsurance relevant specialty/technical diplomaDegree-level educated3+ years of business development of broking experienceDemonstrated substantial year on year growth in Employee Benefits revenues.CompetenciesAbility to manage the administration and implementation of clients' global risk management programme; placement and servicing of Local insurance programs;Self-starter, ability to work in complete autonomy.Good interpersonal, communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and deliver resultsHigh level of Leadership and management qualitiesPossess skills to interact and to build relationship with team, internal and external clients/vendorsDemonstrates regulatory awareness where appropriate.Able to practise\perform ethicallyDemonstrates and adopt Lockton’s core values:
