Business Development Manager – France & Netherlands (9 Month Fixed Term Contract)Location: Amsterdam-based (home-based contract with regular travel to France & NL)Salary: Competitive base salary + £7,500 car allowanceAt Mizkan, we’ve been Bringing Flavour to Life™ for over 215 years, crafting sauces, vinegars and condiments that inspire kitchens and connect cultures across the world. As we continue to grow our Foodservice presence across Europe, we’re looking for a commercially sharp and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to take the lead across France and the Netherlands – two of our most important markets.The OpportunityThis is not a blank-page market, our distributors are well established and the relationships are strong. You’ll be stepping into a pivotal role: nurturing these partnerships, driving NPD launches, and ensuring our Japanese Foodservice products reach even more restaurants and end users across the region.You’ll be the bridge between Mizkan’s innovation and our customers’ needs, from launching new products into major distributors, to collaborating with marketing on trade shows, activations and promotions that bring our brands to life.It’s a hands-on, fast-moving role where you’ll balance strategic management of large accounts with the freedom to make things happen. You’ll manage a trade spend budget (around 2% of company turnover) and work collaboratively across Sales, Marketing and NPD to deliver growth and visibility across the markets.What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who:Has solid distributor management experience in FMCG (around 5–6 years) — ideally across major European markets.Understands how to activate trade spend and drive account performance.Is collaborative, adaptable, and unafraid to JFDI (Just Figure It & Do It).Can work cross-functionally with marketing and brand teams to make plans real.Ideally speaks basic level French — enough to connect with our customers and partners.Comes from a food or FMCG background, though we’re open to broader consumer experience.You’ll report directly to our Head of Japanese Foodservice Sales and be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team who value initiative, relationship building and commercial impact over hierarchy.Why Mizkan?We’re a global, family-owned company with a clear purpose: to enrich lives through taste.
