Business Development Manager – International MarketsLocation Required: JapanReporting To: Managing DirectorIndustry: Multi-sector (Automotive, Hospitality, Industrial Bakery, FMCG, Retail)Company: Sahu Group, IndiaEmployment Type: Full-Time (Country-Specific Engagement)About Sahu Group:Sahu Group is a diversified Indian conglomerate with established operations across automotive dealerships, hospitality (4-star, 5-star hotels), Real Estate and bread & bakery manufacturing units. With a robust vision to expand our global footprint, we are now looking for dynamic, experienced, and strategically connected individuals in Japan to help us drive international business collaborations and global partnerships.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Business DevelopmentIdentify and evaluate business opportunities in the local market for potential joint ventures, strategic alliances, or market entry for Sahu Group companies.Search for distributors, franchise partners, master franchisees, and B2B clients in the assigned country who can represent or collaborate with Sahu Group.Identify and engage with companies interested in importing goods from India or partnering with Indian firms to establish operations in India or abroad.2. International CollaborationsFacilitate collaborations with local brands and industry leaders in automotive, hospitality, F&B, and manufacturing sectors.Support in evaluating Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), brand partnerships, technology transfers, and asset purchase/sale opportunities.Work on international franchising models and explore potential partners.3. External Affairs & Regulatory LiaisonAct as a liaison for external affairs, government permissions, and trade regulations related to international partnerships.Provide support and knowledge on import-export processes, customs, and trade compliance for diversified products and services.4. Investment & FundraisingLeverage experience as a venture capitalist or financial strategist to identify fundraising opportunities, investors, or financial institutions that can support expansion plans of Sahu Group.Guide the group on investment opportunities abroad and assist in preparing for global investor pitches and roadshows.5.Trade & Networking EngagementRepresent Sahu Group at relevant trade fairs, business forums, embassy meetings, and chamber events ( Indo-Japan ).Build and maintain relationships with local government agencies, business councils, and industry bodies.6. Market Intelligence & ReportingConduct competitive market research, feasibility studies, and economic analysis to support decision-making.Provide monthly reports on opportunities identified, meetings conducted, proposals shared, and potential pipelines.7.    Communication & Reporting Provide weekly reports on all business development activities, leads, meetings, and progress updates. Suggest actionable strategies and plans based on local business and regulatory environment.Maintain alignment with Sahu Group’s leadership on developments and required approvals.8.    Operational & Support ActivitiesSupport visiting team members from India in planning meetings, market visits, and local interactions.Support initial stages of MoU discussions, NDA signing, and documentation, wherever required.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in International Business, Finance, Economics, or Strategic ManagementMinimum 7-10 years of experience in international business development, preferably with exposure to cross-border collaborationsProven knowledge of fundraising, venture capital, M&A, global franchising, and brand partnershipsExisting network in the assigned country’s business ecosystem is highly desirableStrong understanding of Indian trade ecosystem, import/export compliance, and international trade dynamicsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and remotely, with structured reporting to the Indian headquartersPreferred Traits:Entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of ownershipMultilingual or fluent in local language (depending on location)Comfortable with travel, client meetings, and global business etiquetteExperience working with Indian or Asian companies will be an advantageCompensation & Engagement:Performance-based incentives on successful collaboration closures
