When you join Lummus, you are empowered to make an impact and be part of a dynamic team that celebrates creativity, encourages professional development, and fosters collaboration.From our technology portfolio to our global workforce, Lummus is growing at a rapid pace, and we hope that you will grow with us during this exciting time.This Business Development Manager is responsible for marketing the portfolio of Zimpro wastewater treatment technologies worldwide, identifying and obtaining new business for Zimpro related technologies, other technologies within the Lummus portfolio, developing long-term customer relationships, maintenance of alliances and partnerships and promoting our products and services.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities including proactive involvement in the sales/pricing strategy and leading the business risk analysisServe as the commercial liaison between the Technology operating groups and the prospective client and maintain consistent contact with these key client representativesDevelop and negotiate licensing, engineering and equipment supply agreementsAssist in the development of the required proposal documents Work internally across the functions of the organization to develop and gain approval for the negotiated positionWork within the organization to ensure awarded projects are on-track including following project management activities as well as ensuring licensee payments are made per contractCarry out sales forecasting and gather competitive intelligence and provide market feedback and technology requirements to technology managersEstablish strong relationships with regional sales representatives and other business groupsIn consultation with other team members, decide on the sales strategy for individual proposals Assist in developing/implementing growth strategies for the business groupAssist in the implementation of the marketing plan for innovative sales approachCoordinate proposal risk analysis and present overall Risk Review to managementPrepare commercial offers and give client presentations for technology salesClosely review contract terms and conditions and coordinate reviews with the legal and financial departmentSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseMinimum of an engineering degree; MBA is a plusAt least 10 years of experience in process design and/or general technology, and marketing/licensing sales in the water treatment industryGeneral knowledge of water and/or wastewater treatment market, equipment, process, and/or market a plusStrong balance of technical and commercial capabilities, with proven business development, sales, and contract negotiation experienceExcellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation and professional imageCommercially savvy with the ability to evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities based on timing, feasibility, and profitabilityHigh degree of self-motivation and energy; capable of earning respect and influencing othersBackground in Technology licensing a plus Strong understanding of various cultures and international business stylesLummus Technology is the global leader in developing technology solutions that make modern life possible and focus on a more sustainable, low carbon future.
